A study by the Atomic Energy Council on the level of awareness about the nuclear material in education and research institutions in Uganda (2022/2023). The study focused on the end user facilities that utilize nuclear material where nuclear material was suspected to be used. A total of nine (09) universities were visited.
The Atomic Energy Council (AEC) is a government statutory body established by the Atomic Energy Act No. 24 of 2008, Laws of Uganda to regulate the peaceful applications of ionizing radiation for the protection and safety of individuals, society and the environment from dangers resulting from ionizing radiation.
