Facilities with Licensed Radiation Sources, and operational Facilities and Radiation Sources with Expired Licenses

Section 31 of the Atomic Energy Act Cap 154, prohibits any practice related to atomic energy unless permitted by authorization from Atomic Energy Council. A person that contravenes this section is liable, on conviction, to a fine not exceeding three hundred currency points or to imprisonment not exceeding six years, or both. No person shall acquire, own, possess, operate, import, export, hire, loan, receive, use, install, commission, decommission, transport, store, sell, distribute, dispose of, transfer, modify, upgrade, process, manufacture or undertake any practice related to the application of atomic energy.
